Welcome to Dearbought!

In 1755, John Derr settled his family in the Catoctin Mountain foothills on a 300-acre farm he called Dearbought just outside of Frederick, Maryland. Today, our community carries on the historic Dearbought name.

Dearbought, one of Frederick’s premier planned neighborhoods, was originally developed by Natelli Communities with traditional town greens, walkable streets and includes over 600 homes located along Maryland’s scenic Monocacy River. Dearbought is a full-lifecycle community, whose homes consist of detached single-family, townhouses, condominiums and also includes child daycare and assisted-living facilities, as well as places of worship, within its neighborhoods.

Dearbought features 150 acres of Monocacy River greenway and a paved, maintained river path perfect for leisurely strolls, running or biking. Additional community amenities include a large outdoor pool, kiddy pool, tennis courts, a multi-purpose athletic field, a volleyball court, a clubhouse and a number of neighborhood tot lots. Dearbought has all of the amenities that make a community a great place to call your home!!

Located within minutes of I-270, I-70, Maryland Route 15 and convenient to MARC access, Dearbought is a great location for both DC and Baltimore commuters. Plentiful retail and restaurants are also located conveniently nearby.
